A remarkable surgeon's journey to success

There is an overarching theme to Dr. Arun Singh’s book … perseverance, hard work and a mother’s love. From his early days in India when, with the loving care from his mother, Dr. Singh overcame near life and career ending experiences, we follow Dr. Singh as he disables adversity in India, realizes his dream to become a doctor and undaunted, pursues it with vigor and eventual success in a new country. It was not at all easy, even when he achieved that success as a cardiac surgeon. Read of the difficulties in caring for patients, his preparation for their surgery and sometimes unexpected, untoward, uncontrollable events even when he was so well prepared. Read of his love stories … for his wife and for his profession. Read of his emotional roller coasters. It is a compelling book, not only of his surgical care of thousands of cardiac patients, but also of the rocky road to get to the top. When you finish the book, and you will do it quickly because it reads so well, you will want more, not only of the story, but also of Dr. Singh himself. Five stars, easy.
