This book is a companion volume to Professor Pollitt's The Art of Rome: Sources and Documents (CUP, 1983). An authoritative and reliable sourcebook, The Art of Ancient Greece contains a comprehensive collection in translation of ancient literary evidence relating to Greek sculpture, painting, architecture, and the decorative arts. The material is presented in a way which makes this important evidence available to students who are not specialists in the Classical languages or Classical archaeology. Accompanying the author's translations of a wide selection of Greek and Latin texts is an accessible, substantial bibliography, as well as an introduction, and explanatory commentary.
300 pages scripted to honor Yaz, must read for redsox nation and baseball fans alike. Appears the man had NO faults, would have enjoyed some critique about his dealings with teamates and the fans other than completely positive; however, maybe the man was just a super guy and treated all with respect.
ANOTHER TRIPLE CROWN FOR YAZ

THIS IS THE STORY OF CARL YASTREMSKI OF THE BOSTON RED SOX. HE TELLS US OF HIS STORY ON HIS CAREER AND LIFE. I LIKED HIM AS A PLAYER AND REALLY LIKED THIS BOOK. THE MOST NOTEWORTHY THING I FOUND WAS THE HIS RETELLING OF THE 1967 SEASON. THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM WAS MADE A REALITY BY YAZ'S FANTASTIC SEASON. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FOR RED SOX AND ALL BASEBALL FANS. A GREAT STORY TO SHOW THAT HARD WORK DOES PAY OFF SOMETIMES.
