I truly enjoyed reading Wild Dreams of Reality. It was fascinating and wonderfully written. A friend lent it to me and I devoured it - he chastised me for that, saying he took his time and savored every word...which of course meant I had to go back and read it again, more slowly. It was even better the second time! The writing is clean, concise and extremely well-crafted. The characters are lovingly drawn - even the unlikable ones, like Elizabeth. I was torn between pity and annoyance with Darrell - much as I am sure I would have been if he were my brother! The book is full of longing, hope, love, and, of course, reality. Having reconnected with my soul mate at exactly the wrong time, much of the book was hauntingly familiar, and it was incredible to read someone else's words that so echoed my own thoughts and feelings. The connection between Philip and Parker has an almost otherwordly quality to it that made me want to weep. This book was wonderful and it really touched me quite deeply.
