fun and informative book

We bought this book in advance of visiting Glacier National Park so our daughter could learn a bit about the park before visiting. It is a well-written and interesting look at the mammals of the area using their scat (poop) and prints to teach about each animal. This is great since families with little kids are far more likely to see prints or poop than the actual animal given the sound of kids and parents as they hike along. We don't visit the park until 06/07 so I can say how the book impacted our visit, but we're all looking forward to seeing what we can find on our hikes. I would buy the other books in this series for any park we visit in the future. It's a great way to get a child excited about a visit to a natural area.
