Nice book could use better pictures

I like this paperback book. It has nice pictures of ideas for decorating with white. Towards the front of the book there are pictures of actual rooms decorated in white - which is what I was interested in. As you head towards the back of the book, the pictures are of food, knick knacks, linens etc. I was more interested in wide angle shots of fully decorated rooms but that's not really what the book is. It's more the idea of white as a decorative color. It's a good book but with great ideas and has pictures that can be inspiring. It's not exactly what I thought it would be but it wasn't a total waste of money.
A wonderful primer for those who love white

This is my first book and introduction to decorating with white. It has served as a primer for me in my efforts to bring the elegance, tranquilty and clean lines that decorating in white textures brings to the home. So taken with this book I am now exploring other books that continue in this color tradition and I am ever enlightened (and sometimes challenged) to find ways to blend this wonderful palette so that my rooms are light, warm, serene and elegant without being bland and/or stuffy and pretentious. I am hopeful that the other books I am going to purchase as companion works will advance what I have so far learned from Stephanie Hoppen. I appreciate the fact that she has shown white decorating in all four seasons and the application of shading and textures to make each interesting.
