Book Overview

It isn't easy talking to children about God. All of us have been asked simple and disarming questions by children who look to us for wisdom about life's greatest mystery. "Where Does God Live?" is meant to help parents answer the simple questions of children without fumbling for the right words. Written by a rabbi and a priest, this book is ideal for discussing with children their most often asked questions about God. Based on the authors' belief that the way religions are the same is important and holy, and that what makes religions different is also important and holy, this is an ecumenical book in the best sense. Loved this book!

I've been looking for a way to introduce a benevolent concept of God to my daughter for a long time, but couldn't find any that were not tied to a single religion. This book was funny, light-hearted, and yet covered a broad concept of God. I highly recommend it!

A must have for interfaith families!

This book is a great resource for families that are interfaith. The book was recommended to me by quite a few women in my situation. It spells out how to explain to your children about why Mommy and Daddy have different faiths. This book also helps send the message on how to share where the messages are similiar between faiths. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is searching how to translate religion and religious choices to their children.

Jewish? Christian? Catholic? Unsure? This Book is for YOU.

As the owner of a bookstore for many years, I cannot tell you how many copies of this book I sold...or how many parents came back for second copies after they wore the first one out reading it to their kids. My Jewish friends were especially pleased to find a book that answered so many important questions in an inclusive way. Rabbi Gelman and his close friend, Fr. Hartman, have a website, a weekly column and lots of wisdom to share in ways we can all appreciate no matter what our age or spiritual persuasion.

Not For Kids Only

This book by the "God Squad" is a MUST have for couples and families of all faiths. This book explores the many questions both children and adults have as they walk the path in their spiritual journey. My husband and I are an interfaith couple and love to share this book with everyone we know. Some enjoy it so much, they won't give it back. Rabbi Gellman and Msgr.Hartman are humorous and insightful. Add this book to your home library - you won't regret it!
