I knew Gene Lester back in the days when we were both involved in a camera collecting club and I had personally seen some of his fabulous photographs of well known Hollywood personalities and celebrities. What a goldmine of material I and others kept saying to Gene - you need to publish this stuff. Well, here is the book. Out of print now and hard to find, this book is well worth the effort to acquire if you have an interest in seeing the human side of Hollywood during it's golden age. As the title indicates, these are snapshots of the famous and not so famous being just regular people. Not snapshots in the amateur sense though, the photographs in this book are most definitely professional grade. Highly recommended for any collector of photographs of Hollywood people. Oh yes, the stories. Many of the photographs have stories associated with them. This is a fun read too.
