As a bride, you worry about finding the perfect dress, choosing the location for the reception, and keeping your wedding expenses within a certain budget. But beyond the straight ABCs of planning a... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I'm planning mu wedding right now, and my family is driving me crazy. This book is wonderful - it lists hundreds of awful scenarios and how to cope with them. Some of these scenarios are so bad! Reading about them makes me feel less alone in this experience, and makes me feel grateful that I don't have to endure some really awful scenarios. And all of them teach some important take-aways: 1) That everyone, not just you, goes through a transition when you get married, 2) That all the crap that families normally successfully ignore will come to the surface at this time, 3) That you can't change other people, but you yourself can be gracious and positive and choose not to let it get to you.

"Wedding Sanity Savers" is a must read for anybody who is planning a wedding or needs an engagement or shower gift. I've read it and am recommending it all new brides who need to get through everything from pre-wedding jitters to dealing with divorced parents, money and those testy bridesmaids. In fact, last week I saw Dr. Atkins, one of the co-authors, on the Today show talking about in-laws. I wish this book had been around when I was getting married!

I'm currently planning my wedding and my nerves are shot so when I heard about this book, I was definitely curious. Everyone knows that planning weddings is stressful but just when I thought my situation was somewhat unique I read this book and was able to relate to almost everything in it!! It's so comforting to know that I'm not alone in the stress and anxiety. This book was ABSOLUTELY worth reading cover to cover! I will definitely give copies to any of my friends when they get engaged, it really helped me to put things in perspective.
