I wish that I had read this book before me and my first, third, and seventh wives split (not all at once ha ha ha). I had always that thought that getting right in my dog's face and telling them how they caused the divorce was the best policy. I would usually scream something along the lines of "I HATE YOU DOG! If only we had gotten a cat everything would be alright!" Man do I have egg on my face. I now know that dogs have feelings, and shouldn't have to bear the emotional baggage from my multiple failed marriages. I would like to personally thank Jennifer Keene for changing how I view my dogs. From here on out I will make sure that my kids understand that it is their fault my marriages fail, and they should try to be more like the dog.
