Laugh along with Prince Charming's misguided ideas for waking Sleeping Beauty, and delight at her reaction when he finally gets it right. When Prince Charming finds Sleeping Beauty and her fairies, he doesn't know what to do. The fairies try to tell him how to wake her up, but he keeps interrupting with crazy ideas of his own such as shouting, jumping on her bed, and pouring water on her. Of course none of those work, and he is mortified when he finally hears what it will take! A hilarious twist on the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty, this is a companion to the hit Falling for Rapunzel.
This book is SO funny! We love it as much as we love Falling for Rapunzel! Clever, cute illustrations and just plain funny!
Wonderful!

My little princess keeps all of her princess books in one pile in her room so we can read them over and over and over ... Needless to say, I quickly tired of the traditional tales. This book, however, is delightful! My daughter and I laughed and laughed ...
Original and hilarious!

Leah Wilcox' rhyming, offbeat send up of the Sleeping Beauty story is hilarious. My children and I all love it - even my boy, who has endured so many princess stories for his sister's sake that he hates them on principle, thinks this book is a riot. But the humor is sweet, not cynical, and leaves them both rolling. They also love Lydia Monks' illustrations, and study them intently searching for the "real" textures and the "drawn" ones. I love everything about this book! Also look at their other collaboration, Falling for Rapunzel.
Entertaining for All

I love this book! My daughter still laughs at the princes failed attempts to wake up this sleepy princess. And I have to admit, I laugh a little too. It's a witty take on a old classic. I recommend it to everyone.

The beautiful girl has been asleep for years and the fairies are desperate to find a prince to help the damsel in distress. An unsuspecting dragon seeking prince will do perfectly... too bad he doesn't like girls! The boy's attempts to wake the sleeping girl without a kiss are delightful. Boys and girls will adore this tale. This silly book is a perfect read aloud.
