excellent study of Edward and why he failed

Under the Hammer, present interesting aspects of this question, by examining Edward and his campaigns against the Scots and the political manoeuvring from the death of Alexander to Longshanks' death. Watson a lecturer in the Department of History at University of Sterling, examines the process of conquest of one medieval country at the hands of another, concentrating on one of the most vital aspects: the military garrisons.
