I first read this book early in high school decades ago. The verbal expression was a little dated even then, but the idealism and squeaky clean principles still sit pretty well. The characters are predictably a little simplistic, but that works pretty well in the context of the story as presented. Riders will recognize that the writer has ridden, and that is a nice feature. Excellent book for a jr high/ early high school. Also (don't tell anyone) but it actually effectively teaches a couple of decent lessons.

A fast paced story that can stir the imagination. Even if you are not a motorcycle rider you will feel the excitment and the thrill of what it is like to ride. Has good life lessons and interaction between parents, kids. Kids will like it, but adults would enjoy it also!
