Unusual, but the best.

You wouldn't think a cookbook based on a comic strip would be that reliable, but this is one of the best cookbooks I own. The recipes are easy to read and every single one I've made has been delicious. Includes many comfort foods with a gourmet flair, like macaroni and cheese and cheese or creamed corn on the cob, as well as new flavor combinations like baked ginger onions and brown sugar spuds. This is probably the only cookbook I trust enough to make new dishes to serve to guests without testing it out first. It's really really great.
