Good introduction to Viking culture.

This is a decent book for someone who wants to get an insight not only to Viking culture, but of the people living in Scandinavia during the Viking era. There is a very nice balance of history and culture going on to paint a picture of what times were like during this time period. The one thing I would change about this book would be the section on Viking religion. It tends to be fairly long, and would only appeal to someone interested in theology in general.
