The Unofficial Guide to Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 is a good overall guide to Dreamweaver 8. This guide takes the reader from the basics of designing and building a custom website using Dreamweaver 8 through CSS essentials and activating scripts to creating applications and managing the website. I found the section on JavaScripts particularly useful as the author went into greater detail (complete with coded examples) than most books on this subject. I also found many of the Bright Idea, Inside Scoop, and Watch Out text boxes spread throughout each chapter extremely valuable. This book comes with a tear out card with keyboard shortcuts for the program which is particularly handy when first working with the Dreamweaver 8 program.
