Really good book, but there's a little sadness in it
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 26 years ago
I got this book for X-mas this year.It is about a little boy and his uncle. His uncle drives a taxi cab,but it seems the boy's parents don't approve of the taxi driving. The boy and uncle meet a woman who calls herself a "witch".They meet the "witch's" so-called family, and then everybody seems to bond together, and become a family within themselves. The boy's real family (his parents) split up.Now the boy's father moves to a forien land. Then one day the"witch" dies. It is sad,but in the end the boy get's to meet a captain of a ship and he sails off with his uncle and what's left of his pretend family.I thought the book was good, just a little too short.
