reads like an old movie watches

This was a completely enjoyable read that combined the slapstick humor of old films and weighty issues of the suffrage movement. It was interesting to read a book by people who were living through that part of history rather than reading current authors reporting on it. Also interesting to see the change in voice from one literary giant of that day and age to the other as the story moves from chapter to chapter.
