I found Jeffrey Robinson's book to be an informative and excellent relay of true events that explain the story behind the various "offshore banks." Using such examples as the Columbian Cartels, American/Italian Mafia's, and various other brilliant fraudsters he explains how the world of Offshore banking works and its effects on society. For anyone that is interested in dissecting the criminal mastermind, this book is a great start. Through the first 2 chapters you will here about Panama's Noriega, the Mob's Meyer Lansky, and how terrorist cell's hide there money. I found this a fast paced booked that I am sure won't disappoint.
