For the fans of Lawrence Sanders and Thomas Harris, here is a harrowing novel of psychological suspense about a seductive serial killer on the loose in Philadelphia. A psycho-sexual shocker . . . only a rat would spoil the surprise --New York Daily News. Fine.
Laura Ramsey, a features writer for the local newspaper, stumbles into her first crime story literally because the young victim's body is discovered in her neighborhood. The young girl had last been seen with a young man in a silver sports car. No one seems to know who he is and the police can't seem to find any leads on the case until Laura finds herself involved with the sole suspect. This book was published in 1988 and the forensic evidence is a bit dated by today's standard but nonetheless doesn't detract from the story. It's a swift easy read with an unexpected twist and ironic ending.
