In response to the reader from Washington, D.C. -- I am not sure what book s/he read, but it couldn't have been "The Quiet Storm." This book is a positive, inspirational look at what women athletes have done, how times have changed/are changing for women because of their efforts, and how important sports are in the lives of girls and women. It is a book for everyone, and I especially recommend it to the fathers of girls.

I was surprised by the "men bashing" comments about "The Quiet Storm" and wonder if the reviewer has this book mixed up with another. "Storm" is an incredibly positive book about what women athletes have accomplished, filled with stories that make you want to shout, "I can do that!" The book will help inspire parents to encourage their daughters to get involved in sport. It's a great book for anyone to read, especially parents of girls.
Very uplifting and encouraging. Funny, realistic.

An inside look at the personalities and nuances of athletes (particularly olympic and professional level. I thought the authors did a very well job in their research and conveying to the reader the trials, tribulations and experiences of some of the top athletes in the world. A very informative and good read.
