Everything you ever wanted to know about trout

I started fly fishing for trout earlier this year, and have been trying to read everything I can about how to catch them. A friend of mine showed me this book and said if I only read a single book, this was it. And he's right. What a great book! It's deep, and sometimes a little dry, but I've learned so much about these beautiful fish. It's not just about how to catch them, but understanding some of the history and their habitat helps me better understand how to preserve these fish for future generations.

When starting out fishing for Trout and related species, the beginner can find a plethora of books out there to discuss tackle, techniques, and the basics of trout fishing. After that one finds advanced books on fly tying, entymology of caddis, mayflies, etc. This book by John Merwin, fills in the gaps.
