Cool manga beginners bible

I got this bible for a friend who never read the bible. Many of my friends say that they have a hard time reading and understanding the bible, so I gave this one a try. He absolutely loved it! Took him a week to read the whole thing. It covers the major parts of the bible, and perfect to get someone to stay interested and actually read it. Its action packed, and it tells you where to look up the full story in a regular bible. This is not a word for word bible but its perfect for a person to get an introduction to what the bible contains. I would recommend it to anyone who needs help getting into reading the bible. Great for teens and manga lovers.
Great but short

This is a great interpretation and summary of the old and new testament. I have some very minor theological quibbles with the summary but it is easy to see that this was a labour of love for both Siku and Akin. I love the application of a lot of manga styles to the story and art. I only wish it was longer and in colour - much like the gorgeous Heavy Metal work Siku has done in the past. I think it is a great for any Christian who has an interest in the comic form or any anime/manga fan in general. Its an excellent way to introduce such fans to the Biblical account. Perhaps a Japanese language version one day as well?

For me a fan of bible and manga too, this is the perfect gift, the manga bible don't lose any detail of the truly and powerful history, the world salvation in addition has the same history drawn on manga style, it's a really interesting concept but for my is ok. I'm sure if you never before has read the bible with this you will read from the begining (genesis) to the end of the bible (Revelations).. i recommend to you buy the manga bible..!!
Great new way to experience the Bible

I was a little hesitant at first--I must admit I wasn't sure if either the Manga/Graphic novel sensibilities and Biblical content would mesh well. But Siku pulls it off. I recommend for ages 12 and up--Even adults will get a kick out of it.

Even though this is a thick manga-style graphic novel, obviously its not the whole Bible -- nor is it the only possible interpretation of the Bible's sacred text. So, with those potential assumptions set aside, you're likely to really enjoy this vivid "take" on the Bible's highlights. Research into Americans' Bible-reading habits has shown repeatedly that Americans love to own Bibles -- often more than one. The problem is that we frequently can't find time to read our Bibles, or we get stuck in a rut of a single version or two. Even if we love the Bible and read it regularly, most of us are always looking for fresh ways to re-envision these powerful, timeless stories. When I first got my copy of this book, opened the first page of Genesis -- I was lost for the next couple of hours! Plus, I like the chapter-and-verse references sprinkled through the book -- so readers can check out the full version of the stories in the Bible itself.
