Jack Parker was just a kid when they locked his father away for murder. Raised by adoptive parents, he's been searching for a sense of identity ever since--and a truth he can live with. And if that means ending his budding relationship with Taylor Dundee by implicating Taylor's mother as the real killer, so be it. When Jack's investigation uncovers a shocking secret about her family, Taylor never wants to see the handsome man from Texas again. But unfortunately, she needs him to help her get to the bottom of her dead mother's lies--and right so many old wrongs to so many people. Starting with Jack. And then she'll have to find a way to tell him she's carrying his child.
I liked this book a lot, the side story is very interesting. In some books you are bored with the story and just want the loving to start, however this was not the case (almost the opposite). The sex is discreet, they head to the bedroom and then it is the next chapter, etc.
Great Story, Absolutely Loved it

The Man from Texas was a treat to read. It grabbed me from page one, and took me for a wonderful ride. Shortly after the story begins, the studly and handsome Texan, Jack Parker meets Taylor as he is looking to find out the truth about his biological father, who was locked away for a murder long ago. Jack's investigation uncovered a shocking secret about free-spirited and beautiful Taylor's mother. Together they try to get to the bottom of the mystery of their pasts. The story is fast-paced, and it is hard to put it down. The way the story plays out is exhilarating- as is the undeniable spark between these two. The ending is definitely a shocker, but wonderful. Every character in the story seems real, and I absolutely loved this book. Linda Style has written another great one!
