I was surprised by the mixed reviews, since this -- in my opinion -- is one of Ware's best. I couldn't stand the wait and actually snuck a peak at the end of this gripping murder mystery. Karma served me well: The story boiled down to seemingly one perp ... but I didn't read the whole finale. And, guess what, it wasn't him!!! I noticed one odd thing in "It Girl": A professor living in what is basically a freshman dorm. Is this a British thing? Or just a creepy, weird thing?!
worse Ruth Ware book I have read

I finally quit reading this book, one chapter would be "before" and the next one "after" throughout the book, not for me.
Slow going

This was not my favorite Ruth Ware book. It was very slow to get into and didn't have the usual Ruth Ware suspense

Thriller

This is a Psychological Thriller/Mystery Suspense. This book took me awhile to get into the story, and the characters took awhile to learn them. Once, I got into the story I could not put it down because I needed to know what really happened. This story is told in two storylines (After the Murder-present day and Before the Murder-College years). I did not guess the reveal. I really loved the ending of this book because I did not see it coming at all. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
