Great Writing for a Great Cause

A great assortment of stories by a talented bunch of authors. In this fast-paced world, it's a good idea to have an anthology in your collection. Sometimes you just don't have enough time to read a full-length book.
An inspired project

I suppose it isn't strictly fair to do a review, because I too have a story in this anthology. But I can still toss bouquets and tip my hat (which I almost never wear)to the publisher, Karen Syed, the staff and editors of the project and all the authors who contributed to this fund-raising project. It was a big project and done in a hurry, so of course there's more unevenness than you might expect from a professional publisher, dealing with a group of authors who have very little in common except a publisher, a horrendous, devastating, event, and a desire to aid the victims of the Southern California fires in a concrete way. Buy the book and you contribute to helping victims of the fires. This is a wonderful way to introduce yourself to 21 (!) authors toiling in the crime fiction genre. The stories are as varied as the writers, the book has an elegant cover and the cause is good. What's not to like?
