I found several songs I could use for subbing in elementary and middle school music classes with my ukulele. A few old favorites were missing like London Bridge and The Farmer in the Dale.

My son has just recently started piano lessons and this book is perfect for him. I love it because it has all the songs from my childhood and it provides a connection between us as he learns to play the piano. It has no "left-hand bass lines". It's all right hand treble cleft melodies. It does provide chord info so you can improvise a left hand accompaniment. If you are learning your chords. It includes the lyrics and melody to one of my favorite songs, "I Don't Want to Live on the Moon." "Well, I'd like to visit the moon On a rocket ship high in the air Yes, I'd like to visit the moon But I don't think I'd like to live there Though I'd like to look down at the earth from above I would miss all the places and people I love So although I might like it for one afternoon I don't want to live on the moon"

I love the songs in this book. My family and I have had a lot of fun singing especially the familiar old Disney songs. Most of the songs are simple enough for me to sight read but a few are in tricky keys. (I'm only a mediocre pianist)

All children love to sing! My two girls and I, ages 5 and 2, enjoy sitting at the piano singing songs from The Great Big Book of Children's Songs. Great melody introductions and easy playing. Great tool in bonding relationships with young children.

My husband and I were pleased with the wide variety of children's songs contained in the book, many of which brought back memories of our own childhood. We've enjoyed the music together in anticipation of our first baby's arrival this year!
