For five years, I've been the invisible hand behind celebrity chef Fiona Douglas's success, creating recipes she takes credit for. It's a job, not a dream-until Fiona snags a guest judging spot on The Great Baking Challenge, and I'm whisked away to England with a new assignment: help her fake her way through the competition without getting caught.
The plan seems simple enough until Adrien Archambeau-world-renowned pastry chef, intimidating judge, and unfairly gorgeous Frenchman-catches me baking alone in the kitchen after hours. Instead of exposing me, he offers private "lessons," clearly unaware I'm already a skilled baker hiding in plain sight. Probably because I lied to his face about it.
As our nighttime encounters transform from innocent pastry tutorials to something far more delicious, I find myself falling for a man who could destroy my career with a single word. When my carefully constructed world starts crumbling faster than an under-baked cookie, I have to decide what I truly want-the safe path I've always followed, or the terrifying possibility of finally claiming the spotlight for myself...and maybe winning the heart of a certain French chef along the way.
