Food allergies in the United States are growing at an alarming rate and, unfortunately, children are often afflicted with more than one allergy. For the families, preparing a meal can be unnerving.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
My favorite part of this book, besides the complete explanation of food allergies at the beginning, is how varied the recipes are. A complete chapter of 'mixes' and substitutions for every type of allergy means that you can change each recipe to fit your particular allergy. If you're allergic to wheat, for instance, there are several mixes in that chapter you can use to substitute for flour. If you're allergic to eggs, there are a couple of egg substitutes you can make to use for eggs in recipes that call for them. And the recipes are really good. There's nothing too fancy or difficult to make. I really love this book!

My favorite part of this book is that at the top of each recipe there are icons that tell you what it is free of. My second favorite part is that there are recipes for substitutes...like egg substitutes. Great book!
