A horrible tragedy rakes its blood-soaked claws across a military outpost, one of the last havens against the virus. It has been only two weeks since the Wave snuffed out almost all life, and already almost no one remains. The streets are vacant other than straggling hordes of reanimated corpses. The people who managed to make it this far have lost a chunk of themselves to the relentless death and destruction, killing and stealing to survive. Charles, a strong hulk of a man, Marcus, caring and lighthearted, Eric, an orphan with a troubled past, and James, Marcus' best friend who believes living in this new world is pointless, embark on a journey to find refuge at a mall not too far from the outpost. They could never have anticipated the challenges they would face. A silhouette stalks them in the shadows and commits atrocities in the night. His motives and identity are mystery, but it becomes explicitly clear that the squadron of ex-soldiers is his target, and he is willing to do whatever it takes to kill them. As the streets become even emptier, the group questions the whereabouts of the undead. Until that is, in an unfortunate turn of events, they are confronted with a shocking realization.
