One little book only

One little book with so much information. How were herbs used? when and by whom ? And does any of it make sense today? (yes). It has lovely style, quotes by the semi-scientific herbalists of centuries past and many original garden plans taken straight from Tudor England. A-Z guide of plants, all well known in America (this is a UK book) and Ann's lively descriptions of the plants. I have used it with gratitude for years and have never run across anything better.
