This book is as good as the best military map book in my library (and I have over a dozen). I particularly love the way that battles in the same campaign are arranged to allow the student, reading perhaps from a primary source (like von Mellenthin's or Hoth's memoirs of panzer battles they fought) to have a better understanding of the territory. The ONLY thing I'd like to see added is more indications of topography (such as the features that greatly influenced the weaponry and tactics feasible). But very few map books (Collins' WW2 Atlas is one) include this. But that one nitpicking wish does not alter my RAVE review for this book, especially for the price. My copy is allegedly used.
