Instead of 'Antidote', "Stunned" is a catalyst. Many of us moms feel the division of labor between ourselves and our husbands is unequal--and many of us have heard our husbands say, "but I do more than my dad ever did" and find that unacceptable. What "Stunned" offers us is confirmation that I am not alone in how I feel, and that it is possible to work towards great equality and fairness for all mothers. "Stunned" has given me permission to speak angrily and loudly about how I would like the world to be for moms like myself (and perhaps you?) who have a successful career, a kid, a marriage, pets, personal hobbies, and a house and find it almost impossible to find a fair balance between all of those things.
