Darius Storm is one of the Tetrarch, four identical brothers who wield elemental powers. His land is being invaded by Netharat under the power of an evil sorcerer, intending to kill the Royal Princes and destroy their line. His father has been poisoned and his Uncles kingdoms invaded. Tanselm has always been protected by the Storm Lords, but with his father and Uncles dead, Tanselm will fall completely unless Darius and his brothers find their intended brides, their affai. Only with their affai by their sides can they find the strength and power to fight the sorcerer and his Netharat. Samantha Brooks has just arrived in Seattle to conduct an improvement assessment for a new nightclub. After numerous setbacks at the airport, she arrives at the nightclub after hours. She is tired, cold and very wet. The last thing she expects is to be introduced to the sexy new bartender, Darius. After only ten minutes with him, she is more than ready to jump his bones! Too bad she just took a vow of celibacy. Darius and Samantha are both looking for something. Darius is looking for a bride to complete him, and Samantha is looking for a man she can trust to share her spirit with, her secret needs. Samantha has the ability to dream about the future, but her visions have never been this intense before. When Darius discovers that Samantha is his affai, he will stop at nothing to make her his. Only now Samantha is in danger from the very sorcerer that is trying to kill Darius and his brothers. In a bid to protect her, Darius convinces Samantha to accept the protection the four brothers provide. Within their home Samantha can learn to embrace what she has been gifted with, both Darius and her powers. I loved The Fire Within; Darius is incredibly intense and his power over fire adds to his out-of-control persona. When the two meet, their passion is overwhelming. I thought Darius and Samantha were incredibly suited to each other, and I felt myself being drawn into their world. I can't wait to see who Darius' brothers get matched with.
