Hot!!!

From the back cover: Could it be more than infatuation? "You're still the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, " Ben told Shelley. And admittedly she was more than flattered by his interest in her. Bow how could she take him seriously? Ben couldn't love her. She was five years older than him, a friend of the family's, for heaven's sake. Ben was simply fulfilling a fantasy from when he'd been eithteen and infatured with Shelley. And he was ruining his engagement in the process. Shelley's nerves were ready to break. For everyone's sake she'd have to do the right thing... MY THOUGHTS: All I can say is: WHEWWW!!! I honestly thought the book's ahem, XXX scenes were hot 0_0 When I first read the back cover I didn't like the premise (younger man/older woman, semi cheating, etc.) and I went straight to the ending - I know, I'm so bad. I also never had a thing for blonde heroes. The age difference really wasn't t that bad, but I guess at their current ages, it may seem iffy. If I'm not mistaken, the hero is 24/25 and the heroine is 30/31/ After reading the last few pages of the ending I became curious: how did they reach that and why? So I read the book from start to finish, thoroughly. Then I re-read it again, actually a couple of times -_- Yes, I actually liked it! This book was supposedly written in 1985 but hot damn, the lovescenes were hot! Now, I didn't like the book only because of the hot love scenes. I thought the story was pretty good, and despite my lukewarm feelings for younger blonde heroes, the book made Ben out to be hmmm... pretty hot. I'd take him, haha! I also thought it was pretty sweet how Ben, the hero, liked her from way back and he certainly became a formidable man/hero present time. As for Shelley the heroine, I actually liked her too! Anyway, I don't need to retell the story since the back cover is enough. Of course, there are a few reasons how Shelley came to cross Ben's path and all that and you can read the book yourself. At first I was going to give the book four stars only, coz I figured a perfect score has to be the ultimate. But I realized, wait a minute, I re-read the book a couple of times immediately so that should mean I REAAALLY like the book - so yeh, this book is a must read. As usual, my only complaint is - I wish it was longer!!
