This book is required at Northern Illinois University for a course in elemental astronomy. It comes with a handy cd-rom helpful for finding stars, planets, etc. Did you know that there is a measurement that is more helpful than light years? It is parsec. Read the book to see how to understand this measurement. Also, guess how many grains of suger are there in a quart jar. The answer is at the bottom of this page. Give up? If that and other mind blowing things interest you then read this book. There are ten billion stars in our galaxy, called the Milky Way, and there are billions of galaxies.
