The artists and Stan Lee manage to capture the grandeur of the big screen in cartoon captions

In my opinion, there is no greater creative genius than Stan Lee, formerly of Marvel comics. The creative mind behind many of the Marvel comics characters, in this book he applies those talents to Star Trek. Utilizing the particular tactics of the comic book style, he presents the story of the first Star Trek movie in a manner that is entertaining and enjoyable. The artwork is superb and the organization of the panels is very well done. Given the vastness of space, it is very difficult to render something that took millions of dollars to put on the big screen into a four by seven inch cartoon panel. That task was accomplished, the captions manage to capture most of the grandeur of the movie and the book moves faster through the story than the movie does.
