Here s something that the youngest sports enthusiasts will get really excited aboutand the first in a planned series of conceptual board books by emerging illustrator David Diehl. "Sports A to Z" celebrates the full range of games, and words associated with them, from "archery" to "zamboni," "end zone" to "yellow card." It s got real visual excitement, too, with striking graphic designs in exuberant colors that have real child-appeal. Whether kids are looking at the airborne athlete for Long Jump, the diving goalie for Net, or the wheelie-popping cyclist for eXtreme sports, they ll feel as if they ve got the best seats in the house for every sporting event around "
This is a fun book. The pictures are interesting. We got this for our son when he was only a few months old, and at 2 he still regularly wants to read it. It's got a lot of different sports in there, from hockey to javelin. Any sports fan will probably love it!
my son is obsessed

My 26-month old son is obsessed with this book. It's gotten so much use that the spine is now held together with clear packaging tape. The drawings are really great, and the vocabulary is solid. I also like that there is a nice gender balance and a wide range of sports represented, from the usual suspects (soccer, football, baseball) to more unusual ones (fencing, archery, pole vault).
