Widowed on her wedding day, Kimimilia, a native American woman, swears to bring to justice the bluecoats who killed her husband, but reluctantly falls for one of them--a Union soldier captured by her... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I couldn't put this book down! The book begins with a spoiled southerner "Rand" who gets captured by the Sioux and is given to "Kimi" a widow (who never consumated the marriage) as her husband was killed in the raid that Rand was captured in, on her wedding night. The tribe lets her keep him as a slave, since she has no man to help provide for her. Rand realizes he has to try to make Kimi fall for his charm, his only hope to escape. Kimi's mother is afraid of the looks between the two and sets Rand free, only to take Kimi as a hostage. The two end up having a passionate night and soon after, Rand helps save a brave, before he could get back to his people, and is welcomed into the tribe and becomes Kimi's man. He stays enjoying the freedom of Sioux life and the pleasure between him & Kimi. Later, he's captured by whites and is sent back to his people... Of course there's a happy ending! I won't say more, but this book was interesting from the very first chapter and couldn't get enough of it. I loved this book, but after looking for others by Georgina Gentry & reading her "Apache Caress" I enjoyed it so much more, so only rated this a 4.
