An unexpected phone call from a frantic, estranged friend sent scientist Kate Murphy to a rural town in Georgia. But neither woman made the meeting. Kate's friend died mysteriously. And Kate herself... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I couldn't wait for Debby's next book. Don't miss them! You're in for a wild, satisfying ride with impressive plots and lovable characters. Edge of the seat suspense. Debby is truly a gifted writer. She's fast becoming one of my favorite romantic suspense authors. This plot was masterful and the action riveted me to every page. The romance was endearing and this hero was truly heroic. The danger in these pages was a tangible, living thing at times. Debby's setting and sensory details made the story very authentic and put the reader right there in the action. Must read!
Great story line!

I enjoyed the book very much and think Guisti did a great job. Loved her story line.................really holds the reader's attention and pulls one into the book. Loved the characters with the exception of some of the unsavory locals in Mercy, GA. Nolan, Heather and Kate had so much love to share................they were all brought together by fate and their common friendship and love in Tina. The story was very heart warming in spite of all the evil that was going on in an attempt to undermine fundamental goodness. It seems that love and faith in God won out, as it usually does. I would definitely read another of Guisti's books.
Goose Bump City!!

Okay, reading a Debby Giusti book always gives me goose bumps because her knack for suspense keeps me on the edge, but in "Scared to Death," she takes a subject so real and so ripped from today's headlines -- the illegal sale of human organs -- that my goose bumps have goose bumps! Add to that an emotionally tense relationship between a bright but jaded heroine and a hunky widower with a troubled teen, and there's enough spark here to singe the pages. Debby Giusti has single-handedly turned me into a suspense reader because from cover to cover, she delivers what Love Inspired promises: "Riveting Inspirational Romance."
Fast paced, high stakes romantic suspense

Too many accidents, too many deaths, including Nolan's wife, the victim of a botched organ transplant in another country. Nolan is keeping secrets and so is Kate. And the `accidents' aren't done yet. After Debby Giusti's debut novel, Nowhere to Hide, earlier this year, she hits the ground running, with her second release. I was eager to get this book because I liked the first one so much. I love the way she sinks her teeth into an action scene. I can feel myself being pulled in and carried along. The breaks between action are important too, to give Nolan and Kate a chance to recognize that their hearts are softening toward each other. But, before they can act of their feelings, here comes trouble again. Giusti writes a great, fast paced, high stakes romantic suspense. I checked her website and she's got a third one coming next March. I'm looking forward to it.
A great read

The opening pages of Debby Giusti's novel Scared To Death hooked me and didn't let go. When Kate Murphy heads to Mercy, GA, to meet an estranged friend, she only wants to retrieve what belongs to her, but instead she's plunged into her worst nightmare. Nolan Price saves her life, but Kate's friend is dead and the trouble has only begun. I highly recommend Scared To Death, a fast-paced, intriguing novel with a unique plot and satisfying ending.
