I have read this book so many times and I never get tired of it. I was really surprised that such a short book was so good. But naturally I wouldn't have minded a longer story about Carter. Carter is an former geek turned Marine turned business man and Phoebe is his former college love who broke his heart. She's now a speach writer for her Senator grandfather who is running for President. She looks up Carter to make sure all her past naughty behavior remains in the past. Imagine her surprise when the geeky boy she loved is now one hot hunk. I love this book and the only thing I might want to change about it is to make it longer with more back story or make Phoebe not cowtow to her grandfather quite so much. A rebellious period after she lost Carter in college would have been nice. But it's still a great book. It is also the third in a series of guys that are friends since college. I also really liked the second book Breathless Passion.
Terrific believable story and lovable characters.

I loved this story because it had a different twist that was totally belivable and the sexy tension and lovemaking between the hero and heroine were fantastic. This is the kind of book I aspire to write. Brava, Ms. Rose!
Believable and fun!

This was great fun for me to read, especially since it was based in Chapel Hill, my old college haunt. I loved both the main characters and I was glad when they finally had their happy ending. Believable conflicts and emotions, and a great read!
You gotta read this one!

Emilie Rose's Scandalous Passions is about a military-brat/ex-Marine/computer geek (HA! Boy, are you in for a surprise!) who hooks back up with his first love, a Senator's granddaughter, who is her gradfather's speech writer, tweleve years later. But since the senator is running for president, old skeletons in the closets are not allowed. Well, you guessed it. And ooh-la-la, what hot, steamy skeletons are released. And believe me, Carter Jones with the barbed wire tattoo around his hunky bicep is a hero I won't be forgetting anytime soon. If you haven't read Emilie Roses books, you don't know what you're missing. She has a way of creating unforgettable characters and unique stories that keep you turing the pages. But I always hate to see them end.
