All Elise wants is a normal roommate. She thought starting her life over in San Diego would mean writing at the beach and rendezvousing with sun-kissed surfer gods. But once she arrives, her California dreaming' turns into a nightmare. Her apartment is miles from the ocean, her roommie Justine's boyfriend has moved in (and he isn't kicking in a penny-just smoking up a storm). And Elise is starting to get used to the helicopters that fly overhead, warning everyone to lock their doors. But she knows there must be better places to live, and better people to room with. Like Max. Actually, she'd like to share a whole lot more with him than a bathroom.
I love love love this book. For anyone who has had dreadful experiences with a roommate will truly appreciate this book. I was laughing so hard at times I had to put the book down. It's a fun easy read and I read it in a day. Whitney Lyles does a good job of intwining story lines and building the anticipation of what is going to happen next. Great book for all those who love a good chick lit novel!!

Honestly, I got this book because I thought it had a cute cover and the story on the back seemed interesting. I read the book over the course of 3 days. The characters were believable and the story was a fun read. I highly recommend it! I will be reading her other books now, as well!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I read this book in one day. It was a fun read. There were many parts that made me laugh out loud. I even stopped to tell some funny parts to my husband. I could relate to the roommate issues from my college days. I have already ordered "Always the Bridesmaid" for more fun and enjoyment.
Very Entertaining

This is an engaging and clever story about Elise, a young author, looking for a compatible roommate. Her experiences are believable and often hilarious. I found myself laughing out loud many times as I read this book. Besides being humorous, Roommates is both heartwarming and romantic. If you are an animal lover, you will enjoy the added bonus of two great characters, Bella, the Boston Terrier, and Scrubbles, the cat. Don't miss this book...it's a winner!

I loved this book! This is the second one of Lyles' book I've read, and I am a becoming a big fan. Whether you've had a bad roommate or not you'll want to keep reading to the very end because Elise Sawyer's story is so entertaining. I fell in love with her main love interest as well. Always love those rugged guys with soft hearts. Will wholeheartedly recommend this one.
