Description This is a book written by people that grew up in and around Rockford and depict events and tales that they remember. Some depict people in our community that made it unique. Some tell of events and happenings that you almost wouldn't believe unless you were there. Some events happened outside Rockford but are told by Rockford residents including a New York City transplant! Rockford was a wonderful place to live and grow up in. The town like many small towns across the South and much of the country isn't even a shadow of it's former self and that's a shame. This book hopes to preserve some of the times and fond memories before we like the town are no more. Chopped off fingers, fast cars, courthouse antics and just everyday life.
