River Rescue- Vol. 4: The Drift Series
The peace and quiet of the Drift is shattered with the arrival of a letter from Toby's cousin Fawkes, who he hasn't seen for years. Puzzled by what he might want he opens the letter, and discovers to his horror, he needs rescuing....urgently.
Toby calls on his friends in the Drift for help. He tells them that Fawkes's and his friend's houses have been destroyed by floods and they are homeless.
Sadly, his friends realise it would take weeks to get there by land and it would be pointless to try.....until they come up with the idea of a river rescue
Our story then follows the animals having to repair old boats, learning to sail and navigate rivers. So starts the perilous journey to try and rescue Fawkes and his friends, while sailing through fierce storms, thunder and lightning and thieves trying to ransack their boats.
Can they get there in time to save Fawkes and his companions as well as getting them all back to the Drift safely?
The friends of the Drift have never faced a challenge like this before especially when failure would mean dreadful consequences for Fawkes and his friends.
