I love this book! Being a struggling writer myself, it was a privilege to be invited into the thoughts of such a great author. He tells of the struggle to stay focused when the world demands pieces of us, and it was his personal disclosures that let me know that even the greats have the same limitations that the novice experiences. I subsequently read, and have re-read, all of this author's books. What a treasure his works are. I have bought copies of REFLEXIONS for a number of struggling fellow-writers and every one of them have thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the insights and personal stories shared with the readers. Thank you Harry Mark Petrakis for giving such inspiration.

REFLECTIONS is one of those books I can't stop recommending. The STELMARK stories are lovingly rendered, particularly those dealing with Petrakis's father. JOURNAL OF A NOVEL is the author's honest and inspiring account of the daily issues, the highs and lows, he faced while writing THE HOUR OF THE BELL. It's a useful look at the creative process that will be of interest to anyone who writes.
