I am in the process of rebuilding two 1966 Chevy cars and this book not only told me how to do it but also the exact tolerances to set. It will come in very useful.

Wilson's book presents a step by step how to rebuild your BBC without being an "upscale" list of bullet points. His presentation, while perhaps a bit grammatically insensitive, appeals to people who won't mind getting their hands dirty taking on their own rebuild project. I recommend Tom's book for anyone considering a rebuild of their Big Block Chevy. You won't find hot rodding performance tips here, but you'll come away with all the practical knowledge needed to work through it on your own. The one piece of advice I'd add to the book is that you use an oil pump primer to spin up your oil pump before first starting your newly rebuilt motor.

This book was an excellent, step by step manual on how to rebuild any big block chevy engine. It was extremely helpful to me as i rebuilt my 454h.o. engine and also bored it .030 over. I'd recommend this book to anyone who is interested in engines, doing an engine rebuild currently, or anyone who likes mechanics! Just a fabulous manual! Go Chevy!
