A life-changing perspective!

Mary Jo Leddy's Radical Gratitude is a must-read for Christians "in the North and in the West." Living in the most affluent society in history, many North American Christians are still caught up in materialism and discontentment. Our constant comparisons with others make us feel short-changed, although we are more financially prosperous than most of the world. Even those of us who abhor the greedy prosperity gospel that seems so prevalent today can still be caught up in measuring our success and self-worth by what we attain. Leddy suggests we need to develop an attitude which sees God's hand in both the large and small things in life, and to realize what a wonderful miracle life itself presents to us each day. Serving God out of a grateful heart, as opposed to constantly seeking to accumulate, can create a life-changing reshaping of one's attitude. This book offers a real and profound way of looking at life; it is far more than just a reminder to be thankful. I read it two years ago, and find it still resonating in my life today.
