While the midlife crisis has been thoroughly explored by experts, there is another landmine period in our adult development, called the quarterlife crisis, which can be just as devastating. When young... This description may be from another edition of this product.
A lot of relatable material for someone in their twenties

I actually enjoyed reading this book. It had a lot of stories that I could relate to. And it assured me that my feelings of anxiety/depression are normal among others my age. I do agree with other reviewers that there were no answers in the book... But why would you expect there to be??? The answers that some of us are seeking are within ourselves, and unfortunately no one (other than you, yourself) can solve your problems for you. This book talks a lot about actually making decisions and trusting that they will work out Ok. But the authors can't guarantee that everything will be Ok, no one can. If readers are interested in finding all the answers to life through reading a book, then they really should give up the search - they won't find the answers anywhere. Only when you live life will you learn whether the choices made were the right ones. And if nothing else, hopefully you've learned something from the experience - which is really the most important part anyway.
Exactly what I needed!

I was walking through a bookstore in DC on a friday night alone. I looked down at a shelf and there it was starring up at me! After the introduction i was hooked! I finished it in two days and have recommended it to all my twentysomething friends. You completely think that you have all these thoughts on your own and that no one else can really understand what you are going through, but you are completely wrong! I just graduated from college in january and though I had a job waiting for me, I still have a rollercoaster of emotions about my life. this book really helped me realize that I need to go through with my dreams and that having these kinds of feelings is normal! READ IT!
The SELF DOUBT Line starts here...

I would definitely recommend this book to any twentysomething who questions his/her purpose and direction. The premise is not a shocking one, as we've all been there. However, I will be the first to admit that I have felt alone in my questioning and self doubt. I think that this book helped me realize that not only are self doubts and this "quarterlife crisis" typical of people my age, but there isn't necessarily an answer or a date when this changes. The book is very grounded and incorporates lots of stories from all different types of people. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about themselves, their self doubts and/or their journey through life and self discovery.
This is the book we ALL should have read after college

I'll be short and sweet, since 20-somethings seem to never have enough time to sit around and really read. I'm amazed at how glad I am that I read this book. I started to read it by skipping around to the sections that applied to me as I thought of them. Within a week, I realized I'd read the whole book. I'm 25, graduated from an Ivy league school a few years ago, and have been wondering since then where was this amazing, glowing after-college 20's life I was supposed to be having. This book has great vignettes about real people, how they handle career concerns, the burden of wanting "success" - whatever that is, finding someone in the horrible post-college dating world...all the things I wanted to talk to someone about. I love that this book didn't waste my time, that it showed me how other people faced the same problems I'm having, but never in a preachy-way. Definitely the best $ I've spent on a book in the past 6 months.
PERFECT Graduation Gift

This book is ideal for a graduation gift! It has all those stories I wish I had heard when I was first out of school. I had a quarterlife crisis, I just didn't know it! Somehow, while it doesn't fix the problem, just knowing other people are going through the same thing was just so helpful. It's a good, quick read, at a great price! Fantastic work.
