If you like 3D geometric figures and quilting, this is a fun way to combine your love of both! These balls are fairly easy to make and a great way to use up some of those smaller scraps that you've got sitting around. I finished my first ball last night in less than 2 hrs - and this included time to make the templates. Jinny suggests hand stitching the balls, but I machine stitched all of mine except for the last 2 seams and it came out just fine.

I LOVE these balls! What a great, fun idea! I made Soccor Ball first--I finished it in a day and it turned out beautifully. My six-year-old son loves to play with it--and he even takes it to bed with him. Now I'm starting on one of the designs that uses border-print fabrics--this one is for me to keep. The balls come together really quickly and are a terrific way to use up some of your favorite scraps.
