One Nation, Extra Cheese, takes us on an eyeopening tour of America today. From sports to sex to regional delicacies, it explores the excesses and idiosyncracies that make our nation great. Why is there a roller coaster inside a mail in Minnesota? Why do Americans drive anti-personnel vehicles and euphemistically refer to them as SUVs? Is bacon its own food group? And how can you tell if the suave gentleman in the three-piece suit is a corporate exec or a cocaine-addled ax murderer who keeps the severed limbs of his victims in a climate-controlled box under the floorboards of his pricey SoHo loft?Find the answers to all these questions and more in this wickedly satirical, fully illustrated guide to our beloved melting pot. Just when you thought patriotism seemed like no laughing matter, One Nation, Extra Cheese reminds us just how funny we really are.
A short, generally amusing, easy reading book making fun of America in a style similar to The Onion. It knocks us down for our excesses and cracks wise about our collective ignorance. This is an excellent guide for literate foreign visitors--it should be especially funny to them.
Amber waves of laughter

In many ways this book is a comical love letter to America with all of her contradictions, squabbling citizens, trashy pleasures and, yes, majestic Starbucks on every corner. Though full of scathing gags on political and social issues (guns, religion, fast food), you get the sense that the writers wouldn't want America any other way. (A suggestion for the sequel: more Rainbow Head!) The narrator of the book addresses readers from foreign lands, but the jokes and insights are meant to bring a smile to true blue Americans.
Impossible Not To Anti-Laugh At This Book!

This book is a hidden cave of spectacular bounty. The artwork is similar to those in-flight safety brochures you see in airplanes, except instead of pictures of people properly attaching life-vests to their bodies to prevent drowning, there are pictures of businessmen with exposed genitalia, children rollerskating into brick walls, and explanations of the different types of Hooters waitresses.Overall, this book is well-written and amazingly graphixized -- it's definitely the best of Modern Humorist's Laff trilogy and worth checking out. There are samples of the book at ... Just check out their "Foreigner's Guide To America" stuff. This is an excellent book. If you don't believe me, would you consider taking this outside? My fists need a punching bag, and I love settling differences in book opinions with bloody fights. All the best!
Life in these United States

Another funny book from the "My First Presidency" people, this is a skewed guide to life in America. The highlights are the "Dating and Sex" and "Cuisine" sections, but the drawings are hilarious throughout. The illustrations about college drinking would have had milk shooting out of my nose, were I drinking milk at the time.
