"If I've told you once I've told you a million times, no jumping on the bed " But Walter just can't resist, so he ignores his father's bedtime warning. Higher and higher he bounces gleefully, until his hair brushes the ceiling. But when he lands back on the bed--thump, creak, crack--it crashes right through the floor Suddenly Walter finds himself visiting all the downstairs neighbors in his apartment building in a most unusual way "Hip, hip, hooray for this delightful urban fantasy, a comic morality tale that explores the consequences of ignoring that age-old 'momilie, ' 'If I've told you once I've told you a million times, no jumping on the bed '"-- School Library Journal
No Jumping On the Bed is one of those timeless books that children love to hear over and over again. Our high school students usually pick it as a favorite to read to the elementary children during Love of Reading Week each year.
Two classics

Tedd Arnold's 'No Jumping on the Bed' and its sequel 'No More Water in the Tub' are the best one-two combination since 'The Cat in the Hat' and 'The Cat and the Hat Returns'. Highest possible recommendation, after reading kids books aloud to a daughter for 4 years. A hoot for parents as well. (And I'm not a relative of the author.) Taken together: a masterpiece of kids' lit and illustration. Buy them both, now.
Read it again, Mom (Leemelo otra vez, mama)

This book has been my son's favorite for the past year. It lets you child's (and yours) imagination fly, and leaves you with the "open ending": Was it a dream?
My three-year-old son received this as a birthday gift and we've read it regularly ever since. Terrific, energized text and wonderfully imaginative illustrations make for a bedtime tale that literally leaps off the page. Liked it so much we're ordering it as a Christmas present.
Sure to capture your pre-schooler's attention!!

What child hasn't jumped on a bed? This delightful and fanciful story of a boy who crashes thru his bed and down successive floors in his apartment building captures the attention of even the most energetic child. Lilting language is sure to capture the attention of adults as well, while adding to your child's language development. Written for the author/illustrator's son, this one is a favorite in my classrooms.
